On Sunday May 22, pionier press returns to Stockholm International Library for the last event of the Stockholm Book Fair 2022: The book release of »Sigurfljóð í grænum hvelli/Viktoria och den gröna explosionen« (Viktoria and the Green Explosion), written in Icelandic-Swedish. The story follows Sigurfljóð/Viktoria, a young girl with super powers, and her green friend, the flying dragon-lizard, as they travel the globe and pick up litter to make earth greener for all the animals who live there. With great warmth and playfulness, Arina Stoenescu and Thorunn Vignisdottir read to the assembled children and adults: all are equally captivated - by the story and the performance!

After the reading, everyone enjoys some traditional Icelandic »kaffi och/og kleinur« (coffee and Icelandic donuts) before the workshop »Make Your Own Book« begins. Using paper, letter stamps, colored pencils, glitter, and a great deal of enthusiasm, the children get right to it and start creating their own story - or stories, as is the case for some! Iceland even gets visitors from Japan, who join in on the fun!
